Rebel Night Weekender Afterparty at Don Pedro
I'm not sure whether six or seven bands played the Rebel Night Weekender Afterparty. Seven? Seven great bands playing a free show on a Monday night. The stuff of legends! Unfortunately I have a job (the stuff of mediocrity!) but I did manage to catch the first five. Here's a taste of what it was like: three photos each of the first four bands: LoveStruck, The Siberians, The Wellington Ladies Welfare League (WLWL) and The Othermen.

Burger Records Showcase at Don Pedro
I already posted some shots of Apache from the Burger Records Showcase show at Don Pedro, but I figure I should do right by the other bands and post a few shots of them too. Here are three photos eaco of Cum Stain, Cosmonauts, and Conspiracy of Owls. My apologies to MMOSS, whose set I missed.

Apache at Don Pedro
Apache are playing six shows in town this weekend (Thurs-Sat!) They can manage this kind of booking because they are absolutely incredible. Yes, their lyrics are solidly in the "turn brain off before use" category. But with a little help from the audience at Don Pedro, especially Josh (of the band Ex-Humans), they turned a room full of perfectly normal drunks into moshing headbanging psycho-drunks, which is just tremendous fun to photograph.
